Go, Blue Devils, Class of '74! Great to see familiar "old" faces and catch up, then roam around town and see all the new places. Raven's Nest Coffee House was not there when I lived there, and I wish it had been!
The need to not sit at my desk was overwhelming, so took off to Waynesboro, VA, and wandered for a few days. Stayed at Grey Pine Lodge, a lovely remodeled motel from the 60s. It works like an AirBnB with room door codes and no staff present. Recommend. Good food in Waynesboro, hot days, long walks, and stunning sunsets from Skyline drive. Restored.
Work trip, but Chicago always offers something to do when you walk outside. Free concerts in Millennium Park. Art on the Block. Stayed at the amazing Chicago Athletic Association. Would go again, though I hate O'Hare.
Despite the fact that I told myself I could not to Vegas ever again and consider my life complete, I went to Vegas. Met up with 10 cousins from all over the country and saw U2 in the Sphere!
Now my life is complete.

Got a baby graduating from the School for Photographic Arts Ottawa (SPAO). Dreams do come true!
Group of writers meet at a coffee shop, do intros, and then--- you guessed it--- shut up and write for an hour before reconvening all proud of ourselves.
Annual street party in my neighborhood! Artists, music, food--- what else do you need? Oh, yeah, there's that jewelry stand---
Did you know that the Turkish alphabet was invented in 1928?
